Hourly Rate: $19.76 $29.64 (based on experience)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our clinical team in Robbinsdale MN. The CMA will manage patient flow throughout the clinic assist healthcare providers in the management and treatment of patients and perform both clinical and clerical duties. This role involves providing care to patients of various ages including infants children adolescents adults and geriatrics.
Responsibilities:
Clinical Care:
- Manage patient flow and assist providers with patient care.
- Perform standard rooming processes including obtaining vital signs medical history and reason for visit.
- Administer immunizations injections and other medications as directed by providers.
- Collect laboratory specimens perform phlebotomy and conduct basic laboratory tests.
- Provide telephone support and facilitate communication between patients and providers.
- Assist with prescription refills and prior authorizations.
- Perform basic Xray duties (if certified as an Xray operator).
- Maintain accurate and uptodate patient records and documentation.
Clinic Support:
- Provide front desk and checkin support as needed.
- Assist with ordering and stocking clinical supplies.
- Support with other clerical duties to ensure efficient clinic operations.
Compliance and Standards:
- Adhere to all policies procedures and protocols as defined by state regulations and organizational guidelines.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Demonstrate compliance with corporate standards including the Code of Conduct.
- Report any violations or concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced clinical environment.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
- Experience with phlebotomy and administering immunizations preferred.
