A forwardthinking accounting firm is transitioning to a 4Day Workweek placing a strong emphasis on clarity accountability and results. To support this shift we are looking for an experienced Accountant who can lead by example delivering quality work while guiding a small team through operational change. This is a handson leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment and enjoys working directly with both clients and team members.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 3 (Senior Accountant Junior Accountant Payroll Specialist) and ensure the timely delivery of fullcycle accounting services.
- Supervise and review accounting work; provide mentorship and daytoday support to the team.
- Manage your own portfolio and take ownership of team deliverables including financial statements and tax declarations.
- Coordinate with tax authorities (e.g. ANAF) during audits or formal inquiries.
- Contribute to firmwide process improvements including the transition to a 4Day Workweek.
- Support digitisation efforts and help implement new tools and technologies.
- Optionally contribute knowledge content to educational platforms and internal tools
This role is for you if:
- You are a CECCAR or ACCA Member/Student with 5 years of experience in a structured accounting firm.
- You lead from the front managing your own client accounts while coaching junior staff.
- Youre proactive organised and accountable.
- You communicate fluently in English and Romanian both with clients and internally.
- You are techsavvy and understand the transition from legacy desktop systems to modern webbased tools (Xero Odoo etc.).
This role is not for you if:
- You need reminders to meet deadlines.
- You avoid direct communication with clients.
- Youre uncomfortable managing a portfolio while supporting a team.
