RN Grade 2 $53.44 $57.18/hr

Brisbane Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse to join our health professional team to coordinate patient admissions and to deliver quality care by assessing planning and evaluating individual patient presentations in association with treating medical teams.

This position is a maternity leave role full timefixed term from 14th July 2025 3rd June 2026.

About us:

Brisbane Private is a 181 bed acute and rehabilitation hospital with 17 operating theatres conveniently located above the Roma Street Parklands. Specialties include neurosurgery orthopaedics spinal plastics urology ENT Rehabilitation and general surgery and delivery of Brisbanes leading private drug and alcohol programs from Damascus Health Services.

As a Clinical Nurse your responsibilities will include:

Oversee patients in Backspace

Facilitate referral to SpinePlus and Axxon

Facilitate inpatient treatment

Ensure conintinuty of care organise admissions to the ward

Triage new referrals to improve clinical accuracy

Monitor patient satisfaction and ensure continuous quality improvement

Communicate effectively with patients and their families

Collaborate with medical professionals to ensure beneficial outcomes for patients

Visit new referers and support the marketing team

Selection Criteria:

Current Registration with AHPRA

Minimum of 5 years nursing experience

Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality patient care

Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills

Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development

Proficiency in general computer skills

Interest in research and Outcome measures

Ability in work in a multidisciplinary administrative and clinical team

Ability to work with independently with minimal supervision
