Job Description

THE POSITION

Washington Countys Facilities Fleet and Parks Departmentis seeking an energetic engaged and reliable Program Specialist to join our team in creating safe welcoming and comfortable public spaces to serve the diverse staff citizens and visitors of Washington County. This position will provide oversight and program guidance for the Real Estate & Planning business line of the Facilities Division to provide innovative and collaborative services to meet the business needs of specific departments and the County as a whole.

The Real Estate & Planning Program Specialist will be responsible for providing the necessary subject matter expertise to coordinate day to day oversight of the countys real estate leases oversee property auctions monitor budget expenditures and take the lead on updating and/or creating policies procedures and best practices for the real estate and planning goals to standardize building interiors like flooring paint signage and space planning. This position will work collaboratively across the organization to develop and implement a longterm plan that meets a wide range of current and future building needs.

The ideal candidate for this position will be committed to creating an inclusive and safe space for diverse Washington County staff and visitors. It is essential to have top level communication skills both oral and written welldeveloped active listening skills an eye for detail a strong work ethic and the ability to multitask and adapt to reactive especially in emergency situations. It is also important to be flexible easily shift priorities to respond to urgent incidents and routine work requests with pride professionalism and a positive demeanor.
