This will be a FullTime day shift position
Position Summary:
Responsible for client care under the direction and supervision of a physical therapist
Job duties:
- Applies physical therapy procedures to clients through use of therapeutic exercise mechanical traction therapeutic massage compression heat cold ultraviolet light and electricity.
- Measures and fits walkers canes crutches and wheelchair and provides instructions on the use and care of these items.
- Provides instruction in transfers activities of daily living gait pulmonary function and the use and care of orthosis prosthesis and supportive devices.
- Performs measurements without interpretation for range of motion gross muscle strength length and girth of body parts and vital signs.
- Modifies treatment program within the limits of the specific plan of care according to the clients needs and response. Reports changes to the PT.
- Communicates with staff members and other healthcare professionals on clients status and care.
- Promptly reports incidents accidents errors changes of condition abuse or concerns to the clients primary nurse or the Health at Home Director.
- Adheres to infection control policies professional therapeutic services and Health at Home policies and procedures at all times while providing care to clients.
- Maintains an adequate inventory of adaptive aids for clients.
- Attends scheduled inservices training and staff meetings

Qualifications:
- Associates degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Current Ohio Physical Therapist Assistant License.
- Valid drivers license and a safe driving record.
- At least one year experience preferably in a home health care setting preferred.
