We are looking for a highly motivatedFacilities Technicianto join our team!
The Facilities Technician is responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks such as painting carpentry basic electricals & plumbing furniture installation and reconfiguration heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC). Performs general cleaning and other tasks as assigned. This is a fulltime contracting position with a MondayFriday schedulereporting to the Facilities Manager.
How Youll Contribute
- Paint remodel refurbish areas as needed
- Inspect repair maintain/monitor all equipment and amenities including freezers and Milli Q water systems
- Change of all filters belts & troubleshooting for HVAC units as required
- Prepare conference rooms for meetings; install TVs whiteboards remove or rearrange furniture for events or meetings as needed
- Remove and properly dispose of all recyclable materials
- Change light bulbs replace ballasts interior and exterior as needed
- Assist with all office/lab furniture installation assist with equipment installs/removals
- Perform facilities inspections to identify deficiencies and put in work orders
- Assist in furniture procurement installation and reconfiguration
- Basic plumbing carpet baseboards and ceiling tiles installations
- Perform Preventative Maintenance on air compressors and DI water systems
- Oversee daily trash removal restocking/ sweeping/mopping/vacuuming cleaning/disinfecting tables and counters cleaning exterior entryway cleaning/polishing/floor
- Must be able to work flexible hours
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications Skills Knowledge & Abilities
- High school education or higher
- 510 years of working experience in facilities maintenance
- Basic understanding of electrical plumbing and carpentry installation HVAC
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills customer service oriented
- Must be organized detail oriented selfmotivated able to multitask with cando attitude
- Ability to push/lift 50 pounds
- Fast pacepaced environment with ability to climb ladders and use power tools
- Bending at waist sitting kneeling climbing walking crouching as job may require
