Job Description

Position Overview

A Forklift MechanicTechnician supports all aspects of building services and facilities maintenance by performing various maintenance tasks. In this role you will utilize technical knowledge to diagnose and troubleshoot issues replace faulty parts and ensure proper functioning of the equipment.

Job Description

Compensation: $32.05$37.55/hr.
This is a Union facility

will contribute by:
- Responsible for the repair maintenance installation and enhancement of machinery and mechanical equipment within the Distribution Center.
- Mechanical responsibilities may apply to equipment machinery electrical andor HVAC. Troubleshoot to diagnose source of failure.
- Perform alignments adjustments and tests associated with the installation relocation and or refurbishment of machinery and equipment.
- Conduct preventive maintenance (PMs) within manufacturers guidelines/specifications and established timelines to include oil changes filter changes calibration of equipment belts changes inspections adjustments lubrication etc.
- Operate power and hand tools as needed.
- Document work performed and adhere to all safety protocols.
- Assist the battery technicians by assisting in battery charger repairs battery changes for MHE repair of plugs and tips of batteries and chargers watering and washing batteries acid spill clean up.
Your work environment may include:
- Perishable (Refrigerated) about 28 60
- Frozen about 20 0
- Grocery (dry goods) about 50 90
Were searching for candidates with:
- Knowledge of mechanical systems including transmissions drive units differentials braking systems internal combustion motors telescopic masts reach mechanisms and steering systems.
- Working knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems as they pertain to the preventative maintenance troubleshooting and repair of MHE.
- Detailed knowledge of hydraulic systems/schematics/components electrical systems/schematics both AC and DC systems drive motors power amps and electrical controls including PLC systems.
- Detailed knowledge of mechanical systems including transmissions drive units differentials braking systems internal combustion motors telescopic masts reach mechanisms steering systems suspension systems etc.
- HVAC Industrial Maintenance and Building maintenance technicians
- 2: Experience logging work orders and PMs into computerized tracking systems.
- 2: Experience with Crown Raymond and Toyota material handling equipment a plus.
- Candidates with Automotive Mechanical or automation experience are encouraged to apply
