As an Infrastructure Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platforms team youutilize strong knowledge of software applications and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Apply your technical knowledge and problemsolving methodologies across multiple applications of moderate scope.
Job responsibilities
- Applies technical knowledge and problemsolving methodologies to projects of moderate scope with a focus on improving the data and systems running at scale and ensures end to end monitoring of applications
- Resolves most nuances and determines appropriate escalation path
- Executes conventional approaches to build or break down technical problems
- Candidate will be a member of Network Engineering team sharing responsibility for leading and engaging in the architecture evaluation and standardization of emerging network communication technologies products and solutions.
- This role will collaborate with other engineering team members and the business unit to set the current state and future direction of the technological landscape.
- Lead and collaborate with other members of the Engineering team in the development of technical design solutions
- Capture analyze decompose and create requirements for systems products and subsystems of moderate to high complexity.
- Partner with business product and architecture teams to define Next Gen SDWAN Network requirements and capabilities
- Provide regular updates with respect to progress on tasks and projects.
- Develop and implement project plans within budgetary schedule and resource constraints
- Ability to articulate technical design & architecture in clear concise and understandable terms to the stakeholders
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on infrastructure disciplines concepts and 3 years applied experience
- Strong knowledge of one or more infrastructure disciplines such as hardware networking terminology databases storage engineering deployment practices integration automation scaling resilience and performance assessments
- Hands on and well proven SDWAN network engineering relevant experience.
- Experienced network analyst with a strong background of design implementation and support of a complex network environment in a global organization.
- Hands on experience is product design ( including creating functional architecture detailed HDL LLD) test plan & execution (creating test plan test cases use cases) and implementation working closely with all relevant stakeholder
- Handson systemslevel understanding and an ability to learn and apply new concepts and technologies quickly
- Application of Security/Cybersecurity methodologies to network and systems design to provide secure services that support business requirements
- Advanced knowledge in the following key areas: SDWAN Networking & Routing Network Automation Network Virtualization
- Application of Network Management concepts to manage and maintain highly available and reliable network services to support business requirements.
- Familiarity or experience with network automation.
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Excellent communication skills plus proven relationship building abilities
- Experience with cloudbased technologies and tools.
- Proficient in multiple infrastructure technologies
- SDWAN certification from industry recognized organizations is desirable.
