Job Description

Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Buyer to join our team based in Edinburgh. We are looking for a selfmotivated wellorganised and hardworking individual who can work well as part of a team be confident dealing with internal customers / colleagues and have experience in dealing with suppliers across the fleet function.

The buyer should have previous experience across general procurement services with a range of category experience. The successful candidate will join a dedicated team ensuring processes & procedures are adhered to and high standards upheld. This role sits within the Procurement Operations Team and reports directly to the Procurement Manager.

Hybrid working available for this role 3 days in the office 2 days from home.

Responsibilities

The role is part of the Procurement ops administration team and core activities will be to manage key vendors negotiate commercial contracts and delivering tangible savings.

Strong Negotiation and Communication Skills

Proactive approach to stakeholder and vendor management
Good analytical and reporting experience
Fully understand company policies and procedures and ensure processes are adhered to across the business.
Have excellent administration (Microsoft Office: Excel & Outlook)
Strong organisation and time management skills.
Have excellent communication skills and a professional manner.
Have exceptional attention to detail.
Be an effective team player & communicator.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 year Experience
  • Degree / Cips Qualification preferred but a good level of procurement experience is most important
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders across the business
  • Enjoy responsibility and the opportunity to deliver savings and tangible results/value to the Element business
  • Experience in tendering and analysis required
