IT Support Services Technician

The IT Support Services Technician I provides computer hardware and software support to internal GeoEngineers endusers with an emphasis on effective issue resolution and customer satisfaction. The ITSS Technician I is responsible for providing excellent customer service while dealing with routine (tier 1) support problems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Act as a primary point of contact to provide support for endusers across a wide variety of computer hardware software business systems mobile devices and network topologies.
• Ensure assigned enduser requests and problems are resolved or escalated within accepted IT service levels. This includes appropriate documentation of pertinent information in the IT ticketing system or other knowledge bases.
• Perform routine maintenance upgrades warranty service and troubleshooting necessary to keep all enduser hardware functioning optimally.
• Perform installation configuration and troubleshooting of software computer settings program updates license keys and other software components necessary to ensure optimal functioning of enduser software.
• Complete tasks related to enduser onboarding and offboarding including configuration and deployment of equipment coordination with manager/HR and orientation.
• Create and maintain Knowledge Base / Wiki articles for internal team and enduser consumption around technical issues.
• Create and deliver training and documentation to endusers aimed at leveraging existing IT systems and tools to their full extent.
• Other projects or duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in IT or equivalent combination of education technical certifications or training or work experience.
• 1 year of experience in an IT support service capacity preferred
• Ability to offer excellent customer service via email phone and inperson to a wide variety of endusers with different levels of computer needs and expertise.
• Proficienct in troubleshooting and problem solving with a personal drive to hunt for the correct resolution every time.
• Professionallevel verbal and written communication skills.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to independently complete tasks in a timely and organized manner.
• Strong desire to learn and improve personal and professional skillset.
• Proficient in use and troubleshooting of Windows client operating systems Office and other common software like Acrobat on laptops desktops and mobile devices in an Active Directory networked environment preferred.
• Basic working knowledge of core Microsoft systems and services: Active Directory Exchange Office 365 Teams SharePoint DNS TCP/IP file shares print servers security and distribution groups preferred.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

• All candidates are subject to completing a background check and reference check.
• Normal office environment with moderate noise levels frequent lifting of up to 25 lbs. occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. sustained walking sitting bending twisting standing and reaching.
• Some travel to remote offices required.
• Ability to perform consistent work on a PC.

Our best estimate of the salary range for this position located in Redmond WA is $26.30 $37.26 per hour. Compensation offered will be based on a variety of individual factors including education and experience as well as internal equity. GeoEngineers salary ranges are reviewed and updated each year and employees are eligible for pay increases based on individual performance. As part of our competitive total rewards package employees in this role may also be eligible for our annual yearend bonus offering subject to program eligibility requirements.
