Analyst Acquisitions and Development
Summary
The Acquisitions and Development Analyst manages our real estate pipelines by performing deep quantitative and qualitative analysis coordinating asset valuations and supporting transactions from inception to close. This individual must be extremely adept at financial modeling. Under the guidance of the Assistant Vice President of Finance the Analyst presents complex financial information to executive leadership and external parties including lenders and investors and must have strong communication skills both facetoface and in writing.
Job Responsibilities (responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following)
- Assist with the underwriting process for development and acquisition opportunities including financial analysis of the investment review of related documentation physical site visits and meeting with potential partners where applicable
- Effectively interact with inhouse departments to gather inputs and assumptions that will influence underwriting and investment theses
- Conduct market research and data mining of business intelligence and valuation comps to keep informed of relevant market dynamics to develop a strong understanding of the projects and their respective markets
- Engage with the legal team to interpret agreements that impact investments such as operating agreements leases and loan agreements to reflect the underwritten investment thesis
- Work with internal and external partners to secure all aspects of capital stack including but not limited to private debt private equity and public incentives
- Propose alternative approaches to problems when work product does not reflect desired outcomes
- Recommend process improvements including creating standard and adhoc reports toolsets and dashboards
- Ensure that work product is delivered in the time expected
- Prepare in advance of meetings and ensure attendees understand expectations
- Build relationships with partners and others in the industry by getting involved with industry organizations
- Work on special projects and perform other duties as assigned

Preferred Knowledge Skills Education and Experience
- Minimum 23 years of relevant experience in finance acquisitions underwriting development or the equivalent
- Experience in any of the following areas preferred but not required: hospitality/hotels multifamily mixeduse senior living industrial public financing complex investment structures and interpreting operating agreements and waterfalls
- Ability to work in a team environment and interact with internal and external executivelevel leadership
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fastpaced innovative and quickly changing environment
- Confidentiality and professionalism when working with sensitive information
- Project management skills including planning and coordinating tasks
- Strong analytical organizational problemsolving and multitasking skills
- Exceptional Excel skills and demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Bachelors degree
Work Environment
The Acquisitions and Development Analyst works at the corporate office and interfaces with investors and external and internal customers on a regular basis. The corporate office hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Crawford Hoying promotes a collaborative work environment and the person in this position must be available to assist others as needed.
Reporting Structure
The Acquisitions and Development Analyst reports to the Vice President of Finance.
Physical Requirements
The physical condition of the Analyst must be sufficient for the consistent and successful completion of the responsibilities defined for this position. This position frequently requires standing walking sitting reaching with hands and arms and lifting up to twentyfive pounds. The Analyst must be able to drive occasionally during the course of work.
Required Experience:
