DescriptionIndustrial Scientific has an immediate opening for a driven Credit & Collections Analyst eager to grow within the field. The Analyst will manage a portfolio of customer accounts including risk and financial reviews collections followup calls credit holds payment discrepancy resolutions dispute resolutions analytical and forecasting reporting and partner with the sales team to improve cash flow.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform credit investigations and thorough financial analyses including income statements cash flow history current debt and tax forms.
- Provide customer service for collection issues process customer refunds and review account adjustments.
- Resolve customer discrepancies and short payments.
- Communicate and followup effectively with Sales and Customer Service departments.
- Create KPIs and forecasting reports for the department.
- Work with peers to create efficiencies through continual process improvement.
- Ensure compliance with established accounting policies and procedures.
- Analyze data to identify and solve problems with little or no precedent.
- Perform additional duties as required by the Credit Management Team.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in finance or accounting required.
- 5 to 8 years of credit and collections experience.
- Strong analytical and decisionmaking skills; must be able to prioritize and work within time constraints.
- Strong phone interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong ethics and ability to work as an effective collaborative team member.
- Ability to work autonomously within established procedures and practices.
- Energetic detailoriented and able to adhere to deadlines.
- Provides subject matter guidance to junior team members.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience with Oracle EBusiness Suite preferred.
