Responsibilities The Laboratory Supervisor will report directly to the Quality Manager and will be responsible to:
Assign and direct the work of the laboratory personnel.
Provide administrative and technical support for laboratory personnel.
Provide orientation and train.
Schedule goals and objectives and evaluate performance.
Provide support for the quality assurance program.
Review and validate analytical data that is reported to the Transportation Department the Management Department and other Departmentsas required.
Coordinate sample collection.
Coordinate develop and implement plans and quality assurance activities in the laboratory.
Track inventory on labresources and consumables.
Qualifications BA or BS in Chemistry or related Technical Discipline or equivalent experience 5 plus years of lab experience in the cement or lime industry Ability to supervise and direct the work of others produce analytical results in a timely manner and take corrective personnel actions.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) Must possess proficient math skills Knowledge of theory and principles of chemistry Knowledge of quality assurance laboratory safety and OSHA/MSHA Basic computer skills Please note that candidates must be eligible to work in the United States and that only qualified candidates will be contacted.
