Job Title: Housing Options Officer
Permanent
Full Time 37 hours per week
Grade Fper annum
(Starting salary dependent upon skills and qualifications progression subject to satisfactory performance)
Closing Date for accepting applications: 1st June 2025
The Council is seeking to recruit a fulltime permanent Housing Options Officer. You will be responsible in being part of a small team to deliver a customer orientated service to prevent homelessness within the Housing Options and Homelessness service. Experience in carrying out statutory duties under homelessness legislation would be essential. A driving licence and use of car is also essential.
You will also need to demonstrate the following:
- Experience in homelessness and/or housing advice casework
- Working knowledge of landlord and tenant law housing legislation and benefit regulations
- Willingness and flexibility to work outside normal hours when necessary
- Good understanding of welfare benefits
- A customer focus
- Comprehensive knowledge of housing & homelessness policy procedures and legislation.
