Role description:
Join one of the largest architectural firms in the world while retaining the chance to work in a boutiquestyle team for some of the highestprofile jobs in Vancouver! We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Vancouver living practice to work with our highrise residential projects.
Youll have the opportunity to work with a fastpaced driven team with a proven success record in both design and technical excellence! The successful candidate will ideally offer experience leading and managing projects end to end along with strong production side experience (working drawings) this will be imperative.
You will have handson experience with detailed drawings a strong ability to project manage/coordinate along with strong interpersonal skills to further develop relationships with clients and other consultants. Furthermore you will be someone who has a keen eye for detail a strong critical thinker and problem solver and someone who enjoys tackling new challenges and opportunities. This role will also be involved in design development. Responsibility for project performance is the root of the success of this position; quality and client satisfaction!

Role accountabilities:
- Under the direction of the Studio Manager be able to work independently lead the production team to prepare working drawings for permit the tender and construction
- Attend project coordination meetings and prepare and distribute meeting minutes if required
- After issue for construction be able to continue work on the project at the construction stage review shop drawings answer RFIs solve site issues attend site meetings if required assist contract administration staff
- Effective technical project management client relationship management and commercial skills
- Mentor and coach others may have emerging line management responsibilities
- Responsible for the team on a project basis and Assign tasks to mpre Junior Staff
- Beginning to manage on a project basis by working with key stakeholders to clarify the scope of the project and the specific client and project criteria that are to be met.
- Beginning involvement in marketing and proposals
- Monitor the commercial performance of the project and take remedial action where necessary (project management)
- Develop effective working relationships with the client to ensure effective communication of progress and changes resolution of issues and client acceptance of project outputs
Qualifications & Experience:
- University Degree with a Bachelor of Architecture required
- Masters gdegree considered an asset
- Registerred with AIBC or working toward accredited professional designation
- 10 years experience in Archite
- 6 years of experience in the same position as a Project Manager with highrise residential projects
- Indepth knowledge of working drawings
- Good knowledge of Building Codes LEED and Vancouver Green Standards
- Familiar with building permit tender and construction requirements
- Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD skills for undertaking working drawings
- Knowledgeable with other MS software such as MS Word and Excel able to prepare other documents e.g. schedules project stats
- Ability to put together a design project including program conceptual design design development construction documents and detailing and specifications on a small straightforward project
