Division of Facilities Management Northern District
The Division of Facilities Management is a customerdriven support organization responsible for providing facilities management services to all CDHS agencies and offices. These services include the maintenance of building and grounds custodial capital construction (budgeting and contract management) utilities management vehicle fleet management building space leasing allocation and facilities planning services. This is accomplished through a centralized statewide team that is divided into three districts and a central office. By combining our expert professional extensive facilities knowledge and strong commitment to reliable responsive service we enable our clients to achieve consistently high performance facilities and longterm value. Our goal is to be an organization that meets customer expectations 100% of the time. The facilities managed by the Division of Facilities Management (DFM) include 1400 acres of land and 349 buildings comprising 3.8 million square feet.
Facilities served: Colorado Mental Health Hospital at Fort Logan (CMHHFL) Department of Human Services (DHS) (1575 Sherman St.) Wheat Ridge Regional Center (WRRC) to include the group homes and Division of Youth Services (DYS) facilities (Prairie Vista Gilliam Lookout Mountain Campus Marvin W. Foote Mount View Campus and Platte Valley.) Provides as needed support to the Veterans Community Living Center located in the district. Total facilities are approximately 1.9 million sq. ft. at multiple sites within the Northern Region.
This is a fulltime inperson essential position that is required to respond in person after hours to perform essential and/or emergency services of the agency in a timely manner.
Essential Positions. Positions that perform essential law enforcement highway maintenance and other support services directly necessary for the health safety and welfare of patients residents and inmates of state institutions or state facilities. Employees in essential positions can be only FLSA nonexempt and can be required to work unexpected or unusual work hours to perform the essential and/or emergency services of the department without delay and/or without interruption.
Call Back applies when an eligible employee is required to report to work before the start or after the end of a scheduled shift. If there is no release from work between the call back hours and regular shift it is considered a continuation of the shift and call back does not apply. When call back applies a minimum of two (2) hours of the employees regular base pay is guaranteed. Eligible employees are those who are eligible for overtime and any call back time is counted as work time.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must have three years of experience troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems (boiler chillers air handlers control systems etc.)
Applicants must possess a current and valid Universal CFC (chlorofluorocarbon) Certificate. You must attach a copy of your current and valid Universal CFC certification to this application.
A full preemployment criminal background check will be conducted as part of the selection process as this position is deemed to have direct contact with vulnerable persons. Felony convictions conviction of crimes of moral turpitude or convictions of misdemeanors related to job duties may disqualify you from being considered for this position. Should your background check reveal any charges or convictions it is your responsibility to provide the CDHS Background Unit with an official disposition of any charges.
Must be willing to submit and pass a full background check.
Must currently possess and maintain throughout employment in this position an active Universal CFC Certification.
Must possess and maintain a valid nonrestricted Colorado drivers license.
Travel This position will be required to drive State Vehicles as part of daily work assignment from site to site equipped with tools to perform daily duties. Travel to training and meetings. On occasion this position travels to other districts.
Must be willing to receive an annual influenza vaccination or provide a document for a medical exemption or a letter for religious exemption.
Must successfully pass a Tuberculosis (TB) test.
Must be available for call back to perform essential and/or emergency services without delay and/or without interruption.
Must be available for shift work. Will be required to work various hours for coverage weather related issues and essential/emergency services outside of normal business hours.
