LaCroix Precision Optics located in Batesville Arkansas is offering a transitional employment opportunity that begins with the Engineering/Sales Assistant role and progresses to the ERP Specialist – Sales Order & Accounts Receivable position. This structured career path is designed to provide comprehensive experience in both engineering support and enterprise resource planning facilitating a smooth transition into a specialized technical role.


Engineering/Sales Assistant

Role Overview:
This position supports engineering and sales teams by managing documentation coordinating with vendors and executing customer purchase orders. The role serves as a foundational step toward the ERP Specialist position offering handson experience with the companys operations and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and maintain job folders including assigning part numbers and updating bills of materials in the data processing system.
  • Implement process and print changes ensuring accurate documentation and system updates.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and remove obsolete job folders and production cards.
  • Assist in obtaining material quotes and preparing customer estimates.
  • Manage purchasing receiving and recordkeeping of tooling materials and machine parts.
  • Follow up on customer inquiries concerning job quotes.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or equivalent from a twoyear college or technical school; or six months to oneyear related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Transitions to:

ERP Specialist – Sales Order & Accounts Receivable

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detailoriented and proactive ERP Specialist to manage and optimize our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This role involves overseeing sales order processing accounts receivable functions and ensuring accurate data flow within the ERP system.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Order Processing

  • Review and validate customer orders for accuracy and completeness.
  • Input order details into the ERP system ensuring correct pricing discounts and terms.
  • Generate shipping documents.
  • Monitor order fulfillment status and address any issues or delays promptly.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to resolve customer inquiries and special requests.

Accounts Receivable Management

  • Generate and issue customer invoices based on sales orders and contractual terms.
  • Resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Maintain uptodate customer records including contact and billing information.
  • Prepare customer credit references.
  • Backup as needed daily deposit preparation balancing of aging application of customer payments.

ERP System Optimization & Support

  • Configure and customize ERP modules to align with business processes.
  • Provide training and support to endusers ensuring efficient utilization of the ERP system.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
  • Participate in system upgrades and enhancements testing new features and functionalities.
  • Gather and analyze data from various sources to create comprehensive reports.
  • Draft edit and finalize reports ensuring clarity accuracy and adherence to company standards.
  • Utilize data visualization tools to enhance report presentations and make findings easily digestible.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to gather relevant data and insights for report creation.
  • Maintain organized documentation of report drafts revisions and final submissions.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders through presentations and briefings.
  • Ensure reports are delivered on time and meet quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Finance Information Technology or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Report Writing Software (e.g. Crystal Reports Microsoft Report Builder) ERP software (e.g. SAP Oracle Microsoft Dynamics) Microsoft Excel and other office applications.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze and interpret data.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • ProblemSolving: Ability to identify issues propose solutions and implement process improvements.
  • Strong writing skills with attention to detail and the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Ability to work independently
