Job Description
One of our clients is seeking an experienced Azure Enterprise Architect to support the design and development of a new enterprise platform. This role will serve as a strategic technical leader collaborating across Application Development Infrastructure and Service Delivery teams to ensure scalable secure and standardsdriven solutions are implemented in alignment with the organization s goals.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with an existing software development team to support the design and implementation of a new enterprise platform.
Drive enterprise architecture strategy and standards across application development infrastructure and operations.
Research design document and lead pilot implementations of prioritized enterprise architecture topics.
Lead crossfunctional collaboration with internal teams to evaluate and implement new technologies patterns and tools aligned with cloudfirst principles.
Facilitate discussions and architectural reviews to ensure alignment with best practices and organizational objectives.
Produce technical documentation reference architectures and design patterns for use across the IT organization.
Provide subject matter expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud technologies including governance infrastructure as code identity networking and security.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience designing and implementing enterprise solutions on Microsoft Azure.
Expertise in cloudnative architectures hybrid cloud strategies and infrastructureascode.
Indepth knowledge of Azure services including Compute Networking Storage Identity and Database.
Experience with Azure tools such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) Azure Policy Azure Monitor Security Center Key Vault and Azure AD.
Proficiency in scripting and provisioning using PowerShell Bicep and Terraform.
Experience with Azure SQL Managed Instances containers (Docker Helm) and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
Proven experience leading cloud strategy and architecture discussions with enterprise stakeholders.
Understanding of Zero Trust Architecture RBAC security cost management and compliance (e.g. ISO SOC 2 NIST).
Experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with development security and operations teams.
Highly Desired Qualifications
Microsoft certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Cybersecurity Architect Expert.
Experience in public sector IT or election technology is a plus.
Familiarity with the Commonwealth of Virginia IT standards and practices.
Security and Location Requirements
Candidate must reside in the United States for the duration of the assignment.
Candidate must be able to pass a background check including fingerprinting criminal driver and credit history.
Local Virginia candidates are strongly preferred.
Must be available for onsite interviews and expected to work onsite or in a hybrid capacity as required.
