Job Description
- The Senior Network Engineer will lead and manage multiple infrastructure projects across Network Infrastructure VoIP WAN Services and Application Rollouts. The role focuses on both delivery and service management with strong emphasis on architecture configuration troubleshooting and security within complex enterprise networks.
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues within network infrastructure systems.
- Design and implement enterprisegrade network architecture.
- Configure and maintain Cisco or Huawei switches routers wireless access points and controllers.
- Administer and support Microsoft server platforms including base OS DHCP and patch management.
- Design deploy and maintain secure wireless environments.
- Enhance network security and perform related platform management.
- Support and troubleshoot AudioVisual and Video Conferencing systems.
- Provide Layer 2 & Layer 3 configuration and advanced troubleshooting.
- Conduct research and implement highlevel technical solutions.
- Set up support and troubleshoot VoIP systems.
- Manage unified communication and collaboration platforms.
- Use tools such as Cisco Call Manager Cisco ISE NCE and Huawei VoIP solutions.
- Design and implement advanced VoIP solutions and ensure seamless integration.
- Conduct site assessments and manage broadband migrations under the Provincial Broadband Initiative.
- Deploy full ICT solutions ensuring proper configuration across all network layers (1 3).
- Resolve complex broadband and WANrelated issues.
- Perform technical site assessments for infrastructure deployment.
- Provide technical fitting operational support and rollout of new applications.
- Research and implement optimal solutions for new and existing sites.
Requirements
- Cisco Certification: Minimum CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) or higher.
- Huawei Certification: Minimum HCIP (Huawei Certified ICT Professional) or higher.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior Network Engineer or equivalent.
- Proven experience in leading infrastructure WiFi and VoIP projects.
- Strong background in enterpriselevel networks and broadband implementations.
- Excellent diagnostic and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and across multiple projects simultaneously.
- Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Experience in government or public sector ICT environments is an advantage.
