Job Description

AECOM is seeking an Environmental Compliance Specialist to work remotely. However the client is located in Sacramento CA and thus its expected that this individuals working hours be on Pacific Timezone.

JOB SUMMARY:

This role will ensures construction projects meet environmental regulations through expert knowledge of permitting laws and strong experience in compliance tracking and reporting. Their background in biology and largescale project oversight supports effective environmental planning and protection.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Enter and code environmental commitments into the EMMA compliance database.
  • Prepare reports to document mitigation compliance and identify gaps.
  • Support constructionphase compliance tracking documentation and reporting.
  • Assist with managing environmental documents in SharePoint and other systems.
  • Coordinate with the Environmental Compliance Manager on compliance implementation.
  • Respond to routine compliance questions from regulatory agencies.
  • Apply knowledge of NEPA CEQA and key environmental permits and regulations.

Qualifications :

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in construction compliance tracking documentation reporting
  • Biology or conservation background
  • Experience with designbuild contracting and construction processes
  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field and at least 6 years of experience in environmental planning or construction compliance
  • Demonstrated ability to work with database management applications
  • Experience working on large complex environmental compliance programs
  • Familiarity with NEPA CEQA and permits and approvals under Sections 401 and 404 of the Clean Water Act Section 7 of the federal Endangered Species Act Section 2081 of the California Endangered Species Act and Section 1600 of the California Fish & Game Code among others
