Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer to be based in Denver Colorado.
This position is expected to begin in June 2025.
The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Builds analytic and design skills.
- Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
- Creates designs calculations sketches diagrams schematic drawings and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
- Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
- Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
- Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
- Site grading simple surface modeling performing earthwork analysis and designs using Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Creating horizontal and vertical alignments for roadways pipelines and drainage facilities in Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Civil/Site Site development access and haul roads borrow areas drainage channels and surface drainage.
- Prepare calculation packages for earthwork quantities storage capacity and material takeoffs.
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Due to the nature of the work U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Valid U.S. Drivers License required to visit project sites clients and other AECOM offices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in AutoCAD Civil3D (2022 and later).
- EIT Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Heavy site grading and earthwork 3D modeling using AutoCAD Civil3D.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate proactive problemsolving skills.
- Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment.
- Exhibits initiative responsibility and flexibility
- Resourceful highly organized and detail oriented
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and meet deadlines
- Effective timemanagement and interpersonal Skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
