Job Description
Were looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join Procores Data Mesh Division. In this role youll help build Procores nextgeneration construction data platform for others to build upon including Procore developers analysts partners and customers
As a Senior Software Engineer youll partner with other engineers and product managers across Product & Technology to develop data infrastructures that adhere to the highest security standards that power the applications in Procore. To be successful in this role youre passionate about cloudbased infrastructure and have handson experience building scalable and reliable data infrastructure. This position reports to Manager Streaming & Lakehouse and will be based in our Bangalore location Were looking for someone to join us immediately.
What youll do:
- Support engineering teams to build data pipelines using technologies Kafka Flink Spark Kubernetes and Databricks in AWS
- As a Kafka expert you will be responsible for Kafka cluster deployment Kafka Connect configuration monitoring security and troubleshooting.
- Databricks Platform Administration Deploy configure and maintain Databricks workspaces. Monitor and manage cluster performance resource utilization platform costs and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance
- Automate administration tasks using Ansible Terraform or shell scripting
- Enable developers to quickly and effectively build and operate their software at scale by providing selfservice data infrastructure capabilities
What were looking for:
- 5 years of solid understanding and implementation of streaming (Kafka Flink) batch (Spark) technologies at scale and Databricks
- 5 years of experience building and operating cloudbased highly available and scalable data platforms supporting large amounts of data at enterprisegrade companies serving millions of users
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment Tooling (CircleCI Github ArgoCD)
- Experience and proficiency in managing infrastructure as code such as Terraform
- Experience with AWS (RDS EC2 S3 IAM etc.)
- Experience with Kubernetes & Containerbased hosting strategies
- Strong passion for learning always open to new technologies and ideas
