Job Description
AECOM Melbournes Transport Planning and Advisory team are a trusted advisor to Victorian South Australian and Tasmanian State Governments major Local Governments major delivery authorities Level Crossing Removal Project and Major Road Projects Victoria and public transport service operators and we are currently looking for an experienced Transport and Traffic Engineer to join our team.
How youll make a difference
- Lead and manage complex transport engineering projects including feasibility studies options assessments and Transport Impact Assessments (TIAs) ensuring delivery aligns with program budget and quality expectations.
- Provide technical leadership on traffic engineering and design tasks and lead the preparation of TIAs as part of broader approval processes.
- Support business development by leveraging your network building new client relationships and collaborating across AECOMs multidisciplinary teams.
- Manage and mentor junior team members contributing to their technical and professional development.

- A degree in Transport or Traffic Engineering (or a related field) and 1215 years of experience in transport and/or traffic engineering.
- Demonstrated ability to develop concepttopreliminary transport infrastructure designs aligned with applicable local and national standards such as the AGRD.
- Proven leadership in delivering Victorian Transport Impact Assessments (TIAs) with a solid understanding of local approval processes and a willingness to act as a TIA Expert Witness.
- A strong local industry network and excellent communication skills to win work and a keen interest in mentoring junior staff.
