The school offers a competitive salary and benefits package including professional development consider parttime Duties and Responsibilities:Teach middle and upper school science coursesDevelop course materials including syllabi assignments lab activities and assessmentsAssess and evaluate student work including lab reports and science fair projectsDesign and revise curriculum content and instructional methods in alignment with departmental goalsMaintain accurate records of student attendance grades and progressHold regular office hours to support and advise studentsServe as a student advisor and actively participate in advisory programmingContribute to the school community by coaching an athletic team (e.g. soccer basketball cross country tennis or lacrosse) or leading an extracurricular equivalentParticipate in professional development and schoolwide evaluation effortsAttend and support occasional school events including evening or weekend commitmentsPerform additional duties as assignedMinimum Requirements:Bachelors degree in science or a related fieldAt least two years of classroom teaching experience preferredStrong written and verbal communication skillsEnthusiastic commitment to teaching and mentoring adolescentsDemonstrated ability to create inclusive and engaging learning environmentsFlexibility to meet classroom advisory extracurricular and community obligationsLegal authorization to work in the United StatesPreferred:Advanced degree in science or educationExperience with interdisciplinary or projectbased teaching
