Job Description
A Bartender at Fairmont Banff Springs is responsible for the development and creation of all specialty drinks. Our Bartenders take pride in each drink that leaves their bar; with a critical eye for detail extensive beverage knowledge and a flare for showmanship the bartender provides a libation experience unparalleled.
Starting Rate: $18.22 per hour
We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months and yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $20.27
Reporting to the F&B Leadership Team. Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Provide professional engaging and personalized service while creating memorable guest experiences at the bar and in the outlet.
Prepare classic and outletspecific cocktails with precision creativity and presentation flair maintaining extensive product and menu knowledge.
Complete all opening closing and maintenance duties including cleaning stocking polishing and ensuring bar readiness.
Handle daily orders track inventory record wastage/spillage and participate in monthly inventory counts to ensure accurate stock levels.
Collaborate with colleagues assist with floor service when needed and engage with guests regarding preferences allergies and special occasions.
Qualifications :
Your experience and skills include:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a fast paced restaurant/bar environment
- 1 year of Barista experience required
- Must have Alberta Proserve Certification prior to applying
- Previous point of sale system experience an asset but not required. We currently use Silverware
- Strong wine beer cocktail and food knowledge
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs remaining calm and courteous at all times
