- Take the lead in specific HSE BU BelgiumLuxembourg projects (technical HSE ...) in close collaboration with the other HS advisors and Environmental Coordinators (they will participate in smaller working groups on individual topics to elaborate together);
- Become an independent trainer on the BESIX core programs:
- BE SAFE behaviour based safety program
- IOSH Managing Safely & Working Safely
- Coordination of the Head office (this includes the building (legal controls maintenance followup evacuation exercise first aid organization ...) in close collaboration with the Facility Manager and other stakeholders (incidents / accidents / general HSE advice / complaints / ...));
- HS SPOC (Single Point Of Contact) for :
- BESIX Group events (new years event celebration of workers training event (eg: training day workers) safety days);
- SPOC for internships / interims questions (risk profile / medical exam (yes / no) ...);
- HS SPOC for the legal entity BESIX Environment (preparation phase advice );
- SPOC and followup of external prevention service (organisation of flu vaccins update risk analysis update risk profiles medical exams (employee & workers) specific projects (measurements risk analysis ...));
- Backup for all related work council matters (like work council meeting minutes and / or to take the lead (in case of absence of HSE Manager / Head of Common Internal Service for Prevention & Protection) recurrent site visits with work council ...);
- Perform PRT (Performance Rating Tool) and general site visits when needed / requested.
- Facilitate safety inductions toolbox talks training sessions and workshops (Head Office and on site);
- Share lessons learned and best practices across projects ensuring continual knowledge enhancement;
- Management of PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) catalogue followup;
- Participate in HS related events (eg: Worksafe Prenne ...) and if needed working groups (Wodca ADEB ...) to share new legislation and innovations;
- Provide occasional HS support for tenders when requested;
- Support on specific safety days (like GSTO (Global Safety Time out) training day blue collars ...).
- Support on 3 green lights procedure.
- Management of the HS legal compliance (via a dedicated online tool) for Head Office BESIX Environment and support to the construction yards on legal compliance;
- Part of the induction process of new HSE colleagues for BU Belgium / Luxembourg (initial training on OASIS PRT documents HSE plan ).
Qualifications :
- Diploma in Health and Safety related fields (Bachelor of Science Master Degree or above).
- Diploma Prevention Advisor (by Belgian law) minimum level 2 mandatory level 1 a plus.
- Other degree(s) in technical or environmental fields a plus.
- 10 years of experience minimum in prevention advisor role.
- 5 years of experience minimum in construction HSE roles. (Contractor/constructors roles) in various sectors (energy public private industry sectors).
- Experience in Process Safety (Operate & Maintenance) a plus.
- Good communication skills with added people management skills a plus.
- A team player a person that understands and knows how to motivate others in multiple different operational and cultural contexts.
- English and Dutch (or French) written and spoken fluently mandatory. French (or Dutch) a significant plus other languages a plus.
- Conversant with digital solutions and tools.
