Job Description
Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose California building an allelectric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing manufacturing and operating an allelectric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.

What Youll Do:
- Responsible for performing periodend close functions including the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations in areas including but not limited to:
Fixed Assets
- Oversee all aspects of the fixed asset accounting process such as asset capitalization transfers depreciation impairments and retirements
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of the fixed asset subledger with the general ledger and prepare the rollforward schedule
Prepaids
- Prepare monthly and quarterly journal entries along with relevant supporting schedules to ensure their accuracy including prepaid amortization expenses and shortterm/longterm reclassification entries
- Oversee the close processes for all prepaid related accounts such as insurance software licenses and subscription services
- Responsible for auditing verifying and processing employee reimbursement claims for international employees to ensure accuracy compliance with company policies and timely resolution of inquiries
- Provide support to other finance members in the preparation of tax accruals general accruals downpayments bank reconciliations intercompany transactions GR/IR etc.
- Participate in the monthly quarterly and annual closing process including preparation of various financial reports and providing commentary on flux analysis
- Perform SOX controls over assigned areas and assist with external audits by preparing PBCs and addressing audit inquiries
- Provide ongoing support to business partners in other cross functional teams such as FP&A People Ops Accounts Payable and Technical Accounting
What You Need:
- 5 years of related experience
- Bachelors degree in Accounting CPA a plus
- Strong knowledge of Excel and Google Suite is a plus
- Detail oriented and highly organized and high degree of initiative
- Excellent verbal written communication and interpersonal skills needed to develop collaborative working relationships with other departments
- Ability to understand problems quickly and make informed decisions in a fastpaced environment
- Excellent technical accounting skills with a detailed understanding of current US GAAP
Bonus Qualifications:
- Big 4 and/or Public Company experience is a plus
- ERP (SAP or Oracle) systems experience is a plus
- Experience with Blackline accounts reconciliation software is a plus
- Experience with system implementations (UAT testing)
