Seeking an Instrumentation Tech II

The Instrumentation Tech II will play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly. They will handle installation diagnosis and repairs for mechanical electrical and electronic equipment using the Preventative Maintenance Program to reduce downtime. With expertise in pneumatic vacuum chemical and programmable logic systems youll troubleshoot issues optimize performance and prioritize multiple tasks effectively. They will also source and fabricate parts when needed ensuring equipment reliability.

Job Details:

  1. Utilize skills in electrical and electronics to install modify assemble and maintain equipment and associated supply systems.
  2. Accomplish tasks by effectively connecting routing and assembling internal / external systems and components including but not limited to pneumatic electrical electronic programmable logic controls and chemical.
  3. Analyze equipment or system to determine malfunction. Decide on proper repair action. Completes repairs by removing repairing and replacing all necessary components of the equipment or system. Discuss findings with area operators leadership engineers and other technicians as needed to find immediate and longterm solutions.
  4. Effectively maintain all records of repairs calibrations tests preventative maintenance spare parts and procedures.
  5. Effectively maintain proficiency in the following skills: pneumatics electrical electronics and programmable logic systems.
  6. Demonstrates effective housekeeping in the area of work and shop.
  7. Observes all safety rules and regulations.
  8. Acquire and maintain the necessary State / Federal licenses / certificates as needed for certain job tasks.
  9. Participates in and completes training as prescribed by corporate requirements and the immediate leadership.
  10. Assist in analysis repair and preventative maintenance.
  11. Works independently on analysis and repair assists other levels.

Position Requirements:

Requires a Post Secondary Certification in an industrial field or equivalent work experience with at least 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance or 46 years in a related field. This role requires the ability to read and interpret technical documents blueprints and maintenance manuals as well as write routine reports and communicate effectively with both internal and external teams. Strong mathematical skills including proficiency in metric and English measurements algebra and data interpretation are essential. Familiarity with computer programs such as Word Excel and SAP is also required to support daily operations and troubleshooting efforts.

To ensure a safe work environment while meeting the physical demands of the job you must be able to perform the following tasks:

  • Ability to sit/stand/walk for various periods of time
  • Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to bend twist crouch and kneel as required
  • Ability to use office equipment phones laptop effectively for various amounts of time throughout the day
