Job Overview:
The Surveying Instrument Operator will assist the Survey Party Chief with daily field operations including the setup operation and maintenance of surveying instruments. This role is ideal for someone with some field experience who is comfortable working outdoors and eager to advance in the profession.
This is a Permanent position that will be required to be fully on site.
Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain total stations GPS units levels and other survey instruments
Assist in collecting accurate field data for boundary topographic construction and ALTA surveys
Record measurements and help with field notes or electronic data collection
Set up and break down equipment and job sites
Follow instructions from the Party Chief and adhere to safety procedures
Work in a variety of outdoor conditions
Requirements:
1 year of experience in land surveying
Familiarity with survey instruments and field practices
Ability to follow detailed instructions and perform field calculations
Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Physically able to carry equipment and walk for extended periods
Dependable punctual and eager to learn
Good communication and teamwork skills
