The Arizona Department of Corrections Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking a selfmotivated and detailoriented individual to perform a variety of administrative support functions for management at the Arizona State Prison ComplexTucson. As an Administrative Secretary I (ASI) this position provides administrative support to a managerial position. The ASI will compose and type letters memos and various weekly and monthly reports. They will review research compile information for projects as well as attend various meetings and take and produce minutes for distribution. Performs general managerial administrative functions to include answering telephones routing calls typing correspondence distribution and filing documentation
Attends meetings and generates minutes
Distributes and files accordingly
Processes incoming and outgoing correspondence
Schedules meetings and makes travel arrangements
Primary timekeeper to include gathering entering time distributing and filing positive attendance records ensuring the overtime report is complete on a daily basis and other reports as requested
Generates copies files and distributes various reports to include Temporary Work Assignment Monthly Statistical Reports Extended Leave Requests Family Medical Leave Act Special Visits Request to communicate with incarcerated inmates inmate letters information reports and other reports as requested
Maintains files in accordance with established records retention schedule to include current and archived documents
Ensures audit documents are organized and filed daily and documentation is destroyed within policy guidelines
Orders maintains and distributes office supplies for the unit and assists in quarterly inventory and purchasing of supplies
Drives on State business
Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment

Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation and drug test.
In an effort to maintain a safe environment all employees are required to take a Tuberculosis (TB) test during their New Employee Orientation and every year thereafter.

Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current valid classappropriate drivers license complete all required training and successfully pass all necessary drivers license record checks. The license must be current unexpired and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to drivers license record checks must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R210207.11).
