Job Summary:
The Commercial Lending Specialist II provides professional courteous and efficient service to Wings Commercial Services members. The Specialist II will work with limited supervision supporting Commercial Industrial and complex Commercial Real Estate acquisition and refinance loans. With support and direction from their leader this role will also grow and develop their expertise in higher risk and more complex CRE loans including participations and construction.
Essential Functions:
- Initiates the process of tracking progress toward acquisition and refinance loans closings as well as guided management of commercial construction and participation loan closings.
- Prepares and facilitates regular meetings with lenders and analysts.
- Ensuring that assigned tasks are completed in the established timeline escalating any issues with the lender and/or leader.
- Coordinating communications with thirdparty vendors for necessary documentation which may include title companies environmental/appraisal management firms and legal counsel preparing loan documentation as well as operations teams from other financial institutions.
- Drafts internally created loan documents (when applicable).
- Manages with the assistance of their leader and lenders commercial construction administration and draws including:
- Establish construction project tracking.
- Balance construction draw requests pay apps and invoices with available funding sources.
- Ensuring completion of progress inspections.
- Validating project completion is aligned with project advances.
- Validating lien waivers insurance and other required items are collected to mitigate potential risks.
- Manages with the assistance of their leader and lenders commercial loan participations administration including:
- Ensuring all documentation is in file and it conforms to Wings approval.
- Corresponding with participating lenders on loan administration and servicing issues.
- Balancing loan payments and advances to ensure participation allocations remain accurate.
- Provide required financial information to participating lenders.
- Validating that all servicing actions are in compliance with participation agreements.
- Ensures that complete document packages are in place for all loans after closing including:
- Booking new commercial construction and participation loans to the core loan system in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Verifies the work of other Specialists to ensure accuracy with booked loans.
- Confirms that applicable ticklers and covenants are established for future monitoring.
- Assembles and electronically file complete loan packages in a timely manner.
- Monitors the collection and accuracy of collateral perfection lien protection and monitoring items throughout the life of the commercial and participation loan portfolio including but not limited to:
- Covenant tracking for required financial documents.
- Insurance coverage.
- Recorded Mortgage/Assignment of Leases & Rents and Final Title Policies.
- UCC Filings/Renewals/Terminations.
- Ensures that all regulations applicable to commercial loans and deposit accounts are followed including:
- HMDA for applicable loans secured by residential real estate.
- Other regulatory and legal compliance related to commercial loans and deposit accounts.
- Serving as a primary contact point for commercial members with questions regarding their Wings loans.
- Assists with monitoring reports for the Commercial Services department to alert lenders of past due payments NSF items and postclosing item collection tasks.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or GED is required; twoyear postsecondary degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years in commercial loan operations or commercial servicing preferred.
- 1 years of commercial participation and commercial construction servicing experience.
- Experience with CRE and Commercial & Industrial (C&I) lending.
- Experience in reviewing business financial documents.
- Knowledge of Treasury Management and Commercial Deposit Account services and products offerings.
- Maintains current knowledge of Federal and State laws and regulations as well as industry best practices including BSA AML Patriot Act CIP and OFAC regulations and guidelines.
- Proficient in the use of personal computer and software including Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint Edge and Outlook as well as alternative web browsers.
- Proficient in bank operating platforms and an understanding of loan documentation software.

Pay Range:$27$34/hour plus 10% annual target bonus. The estimated hiring range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors including skill set experience location qualifications and other jobrelated reasons.
