Clara Martin Center is a rural nonprofit community mental health center located in the center of Vermont. We provide a variety of high quality behavioral health services to the residents of the Upper Valley primarily in Orange County and surrounding towns with multiple offices located in Randolph Bradford Chelsea and Wilder. The Clara Martin Centers East Valley Academy school program is a vital resource for students who struggle to thrive in a traditional public school on Route 14 in East Randolph East Valley Academy is a small independent school with roughly 15 employees and 1520 students depending on enrollment. We are seeking a full time middle school / high school English Teacher in our unique alternative school where we combine curriculum based instruction with adventure based learning to maximize student engagement. Class sizes are small limited to 6 students per classroom and all classrooms have assigned case manager support ability to embrace a nontraditional student focused teaching style is essential. We strive to help our students achieve their true potential and we support both their educational needs as well as their mental health needs in the blended program. Bachelors degree certification and/or licensure in English or Education is required for the position. A Bachelors Degree in Education with a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired may be considered.
