Hiring two seasonal positions with anticipated duration of July 1 2025 September 30 2025.

This position will support to the fish Research Evaluation Data and Decision Support (REDD) group. One of the objectives of the REDD group is to develop and evaluate innovative approaches to fish and fish habitat monitoring to improve efficiency provide better information to inform management decisions and resolve critical uncertainties for fish conservation and management.

As a Biological Science Assistant (REDD Project Assistant) in Corvallis Oregon you will:

  • Conduct field surveys to assess fish and fish habitat including fish specimen and genetic sample collections; fish population surveys environmental DNA surveys and field respirometry/thermal capacity

  • Be responsible for quality control of collected data

  • Write descriptions of sample site characteristics and site access information

  • Coordinating with other ODFW personnel and request permission for access from private landowners
