Purpose Statement:
The Continuous Improvement Coach will support highneeds ATSI schools by providing instructional coaching modeling and professional development to improve outcomes for students with disabilities. This role is dedicated to strengthening instructional practices enhancing collaboration between general and special education teachers and ensuring effective scheduling for elementary and secondary settings. The coach will serve as a key resource in fostering inclusive highquality learning environments that meet the diverse needs of all students. This position is not considered an administrative position and will not serve as an LEA in IEP meetings or as a substitute for classroom teachers.
Key Responsibilities
Instructional Coaching & Support
- Provide jobembedded coaching modeling and feedback to general education and special education teachers on best practices for differentiated instruction and inclusive teaching strategies.
- Support teachers in implementing effective classroom management strategies that foster positive learning environments.
- Analyze student performance data to identify trends and support datadriven instructional decisions.
- Conduct observations provide constructive feedback and collaborate with teachers to enhance student engagement and achievement.
Professional Development
- Design and deliver targeted professional development sessions focused on evidencebased instructional practices behavior management coteaching models and individualized support strategies.
- Lead training on best practices for meeting the needs of students with disabilities across various grade levels.
- Facilitate collaborative learning opportunities including professional learning communities (PLCs) workshops and oneonone coaching sessions.
Scheduling & Collaboration
- Assist in developing and optimizing master schedules for elementary and secondary schools to ensure appropriate support and compliance with special education services.
- Work closely with school leadership teams to develop effective coteaching models and inclusion frameworks.
- Serve as a liaison between special education and general education staff fostering collaboration and alignment of instructional practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience with a strong background in special education and inclusion practices.
- Proven experience coaching and mentoring educators with a track record of improving instructional outcomes.
- Expertise in classroom management strategies behavior interventions and differentiated instruction.
- Strong ability to lead professional development and facilitate adult learning.
- Experience working across multiple grade levels with a deep understanding of elementary and secondary instructional needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with teachers administrators and staff.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a highneeds school setting.
- Knowledge of special education laws policies and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with MTSS (MultiTiered System of Supports)
Position Type & Work Environment
- Fulltime districtlevel position.
- Requires travel to multiple schools within the district.
- Reports to the Director of Special Education or designated district leadership
Contract
190 Day Contract. Will include up to 10 additional days during the summer months at the daily rate of pay for district provided professional development meetings.
