About Corewell Health Grosse Pointe Hospital
Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital is a 280bed acute care campus located in the heart of Grosse Pointe. Opened in 1945 by the Sisters of Bon Secours it was acquired by Beaumont Health System in October 2007. Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital offers medical surgical emergency obstetric and critical care services.
In March 2012 the Cotton Family Birth Center at Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital was designated a BabyFriendly birth center by BabyFriendly USA. Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital is also home to The James and Patricia Anderson Surgical Center a leadingedge hybrid surgical suite offering advanced learning technological advancements and a wide array of procedures ranging from traditional to minimally invasive approaches.
Scope of work
Under supervision and according to established policies and procedures performs accurate and efficient diagnostic exams in all areas of general radiology. Technologists must demonstrate good clinical skills and provide the best possible images for interpretation. Applies principles of radiation protection and complies with regulations. Assumes responsibility for designated area and provides clinical instruction as appropriate. Follows Corewell health philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times.
Qualifications
- Required Graduate of Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Accredited Radiography program.
- Training gained at student level. Required
- CRTRadiologic Technologist Registration ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist 180 Days required
- CRTRadiographer (R) ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Upon Hire required
- CRTBasic Life Support (BLS) AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or
- CRTBasic Life Support (BLS) ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required
