Radiology / Interventional Technologist (Permanent Role) Location: Lakeway TX 78738
Shift: 12 HR Days 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: (12 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)
Essential Functions: - Perform high-quality multimodality procedures according to exam protocols.
- Ensure production and quality by adhering to established standards and policies.
- Monitor and act on radiation dose reference levels; document and follow-up when thresholds are exceeded.
- Utilize iSTAT for point-of-care creatinine level testing as needed.
- Communicate clearly using AIDET framework (Acknowledge Introduce Duration Explanation Thank You).
- Identify patient needs and verify appropriate exams are conducted on the correct patient.
- Provide pre- and post-procedure care; assess patient tolerance for procedures.
- Use immobilization techniques and proper positioning to optimize imaging outcomes.
- Adhere to infection control radiation safety and sterile techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of imaging equipment and work areas.
- Report equipment issues and coordinate maintenance with engineers/physicists.
- Maintain accurate imaging records per department standards.
- Ensure all documentation including requisitions patient history and consent forms are complete and verified.
- Screen all individuals entering the imaging department according to policy.
- Educate and train new staff as a preceptor when needed.
- Be available for on-call duties if required.

Qualifications: Education:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Experience:
- Less than 1 year of experience required.
Certifications/Licenses:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) Licensed by the Texas.
- Certification in at least two imaging modalities from the following list:
- ARRT-R (Radiography)
- ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography)
- ARRT-VI (Interventional Radiology)
- ARRT-MR (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
- ARRT-M (Mammography)
- ARRT-N (Nuclear Medicine)
- ARRT-S (Sonography)
- RDMS-AB/OB/BR/FE/PS
- RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist)
- CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist)
- ARMRIT (MRI Technologist)
- ARRT-BS/BD/CI/CV
Must work at least 50% of the time in the second modality to qualify for dual-modality status.
