Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join our team and facilitate the Scrum framework to ensure our agile processes are efficient and effective. As a Scrum Master you will be responsible for guiding and supporting a crossfunctional team in following Scrum practices fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring that team members adhere to agile principles to drive successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Scrum Events:
- Lead and facilitate daily standups (Daily Scrum) sprint planning sprint reviews and retrospectives.
- Ensure Scrum ceremonies are conducted efficiently and that all team members have a clear understanding of their purpose.
- Coach the Team:
- Mentor and support the team in adopting and improving Scrum practices and Agile principles.
- Empower the team to selforganize and make decisions that improve productivity and team performance.
- Remove Obstacles:
- Identify and address any obstacles or impediments that may be hindering the teams progress.
- Work with stakeholders and management to remove external blockers.
- Foster Collaboration:
- Encourage open communication and collaboration among team members and between the development team and external stakeholders.
- Act as a servant leader supporting the teams needs and removing distractions.
- Track Progress:
- Assist in tracking team progress including monitoring sprint goals burndown charts and other key performance indicators.
- Report on team metrics velocity and sprint progress to management.
- Promote Continuous Improvement:
- Conduct retrospectives and help the team identify areas for improvement and implement process changes.
- Help the team assess its performance and adapt accordingly to improve future sprints.
- Liaise with Product Owner and Stakeholders:
- Collaborate with the Product Owner to ensure that the backlog is wellgroomed prioritized and clearly defined.
- Help manage stakeholder expectations and communication.
- Maintain Scrum Artifacts:
- Assist the team in maintaining Scrum artifacts (Product Backlog Sprint Backlog etc.) and ensuring they are transparent visible and up to date.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in computer science Engineering or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Scrum certification.
- 24 years of experience as a Scrum Master Agile Coach or related role.
- Strong understanding of Scrum and Agile principles frameworks and methodologies.
- Experience working with crossfunctional teams.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with tools (Jira Airtable).
