This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to a missiondriven organization whose work truly matters. As an Accountant youll play a key role in supporting operational excellence and financial accountability within an environment that values both precision and purpose.

Key Responsibilities

As the Accountant you will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records while supporting the financial health and strategic goals of the organization. Your responsibilities will include:

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

  • Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and internal policies.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends variances and opportunities for cost control or operational improvements.

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

  • Manage the full cycle of accounts payable and receivable functions ensuring timely processing and reconciliation.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth financial operations.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Monitor budget variances and provide recommendations to improve financial performance.

Audit & Compliance Support:

  • Support internal and external audit processes by preparing required documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations policies and standards.

Process Improvement & Collaboration:

  • Participate in the development and implementation of improved financial processes and reporting tools.
  • Collaborate crossfunctionally with operations procurement and leadership to support strategic financial decisionmaking.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role candidates should demonstrate the following:

Education & Experience:

  • A diploma or degree in Accounting Finance or a related field is preferred.
  • 35 years of experience in a similar accounting role preferably in a dynamic and fastpaced environment.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Sage is a MUST.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting tools and budgeting systems is considered an asset.

Key Competencies:

  • Strong attention to detail organizational skills and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
