Role description:
We are currently seeking an engineering intern to join our Water Business Line in our El Paso office!
We work to protect our natural environment and water resources while powering our world for future generations. The rate at which were seeing largescale unforeseen events such as floods and wildfires is becoming more are here to protect our natural environment and water resources while powering our world for future generations.
Role accountabilities:
In this role responsibilities include evaluating planning and designing projects for water wastewater and stormwater treatment and conveyance which encompasses pipelines and pumping facilities. You will also be responsible for assessing developing and supporting the management of sustainability and resilience projects including conducting vulnerability and mitigation assessments as well as planning and designing utilities municipalities and cities. Additionally you will perform essential fieldwork activities such as conducting field site visits collecting samples performing water quality analyses evaluating technologies and gathering plant operations information. You will also be involved in troubleshooting processes and optimizing operations. Support for asset management projects by conducting data analytics operational and organizational assessments condition assessments and overall performance evaluations of water wastewater and stormwater facilities will also be key components of your position.
In addition to the responsibilities mentioned you will also:
Support preparation of reports presentations and other audiovisual materials and participate in client meetings.
Ensure project compliance with all Arcadis practices and quality health and safety standards and facilitate coordination for timely completion and submission of projects on time and budget.
Work independently and as part of a team with the flexibility to accommodate collaboration with team members across the U.S. and internationally.
Learn and use digital tools to enhance customer experience team and client collaboration and project delivery including configuration and deployment of SharePoint Building Information Modeling (BIM) Power BI and Augmented Reality.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required Qualifications:
Pursuing a BS in Civil Environmental or Water Resources Engineering or another closely related academic discipline.
Knowledge of engineering concepts theories and practices related to water/wastewater/stormwater.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel Word and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior internship or coursework in water/wastewater water resources or related sectors.
EIT certification.

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per salary range for this position is $17.00 $31.00 / hour. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors such as experience education budget internal equity project and location.
