About Us:

Our company Closet Factory is the Custom Storage Solution Authority serving Northeast Ohios need for custom space organization throughout the home. We design sell build and install custom cabinetry including closets home offices garages entertainment centers pantries bookshelves and more. Our parent Company has been in business for over 30 years with locations throughout the country. Closet FactoryCleveland has been owned and operated by the same principle owner for over 22 years. We have experienced substantial growth and as a result are searching for additional members to add to our closeknit team of people to manufacture and install our cabinetry.

Our factory manufactures all of the wood parts for our complete product line using the 32millimeter system. The woodworkers in our factory prepare each job and check it for accuracy and quality. Our carpenters/installers load the product into their vans and install the cabinetry in our clients homes.

Specific Requirements:

• STRONG WORK ETHIC AND RESPECT FOR OTHERS A MUST
• Reliable work history attendance record and ability to pass a background check
• Ability to occasionally work late or on the weekend as needed to get the job done on schedule
• Ability to unload and carry material up to 50lbs for typically up to 2 hours a day
• Experience with carpentry hand tools drills screwgun table saw miter saw
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Clean driving record (no more than 2 minor tickets within the past three years)
• Driven to complete high quality work without shortcutting quality and with minimal supervision
• Customer service experience
• Willingness to keep tools and vehicles clean maintained and organized
• Detail oriented
• Problem solving skills
• Capability to work with a sense of urgency and accuracy at the same time
• Commitment to work safely and use required protective gear
• Ability to read elevation and plan views of drawings a plus
• Some woodworking experience or knowledge of 32millimeter system a plus
• Cabinet construction experience a plus

The Position:

We are currently looking to expand our Installation Crew as we continue to grow. Our carpenters/installers bring custom cabinetry materials from our factory in Parma directly to our clients homes and then install according to the designer drawn or computer generated plans created by our Design Consultants. Our clients are the most important part of our business and must be treated respectfully at all times. Installations are typically booked no less than 68 weeks in advance which means very steady work however it also means keeping to a schedule is a must. We attempt to schedule such that installers work 89 hours per day.

Typical Day:

• Installers arrive at 7:30 AM. If project materials not loaded the day before installers review plans ask any questions about the installation and load their vans.
• Installers depart our facility by 8:00AM and drive to our clients address using our installation vehicle.
• Installer arrives at client introduces self collects installation payment and inspects installation location making sure that all room dimensions and obstructions match up with plans.
• If there are any discrepancies Installers work with client Closet Factory Designer and office to determine a path forward.
• Installer then removes clients existing storage if present and lightly patches any holes.
• Typical storage is wire shelving and may occasionally be wood shelves and closet rods.
• Installer then unloads product from van which is loaded as flat pieces in the installation van and brings them to or near the installation area.
• Installer builds the clients custom cabinetry product by using the designer drawn or computer generated top view and elevation view plans.
• This can take as few as 4 hours or one job may require a total of five or more days.
• Installer cleans the product cleans up any mess from construction and reorganizes tools into the installation van.
• Installer presents product to client explains adjustability answers any questions and collects final payment.
• Installer returns to Closet Factory cleans van of any scrap material trash or removed storage product replenishes any hardware fittings in van and organizes all tools.
• Installer then reviews plans for next days install asks any questions about install and then while checking off parts and reviewing for quality loads the parts into the van securing them properly.
• Any parts that are found missing are communicated to the Production Manager and are built first thing the next morning so that the installer can leave on time.
• Installations may use one Installer an Installer and a Helper or for very large jobs may involve multiple installers.
