Job Description
We are seeking a Scientist I to join IQVIA Laboratories in Durham NC.

Join our dynamic antibody engineering team where youll contribute to cuttingedge antibody discovery using Specificas Generation 3 antibody library platform. Youll work with a collaborative team of experts in molecular biology NGS AI and bioinformatics with an initial 3month training period in Santa Fe NM before relocating to Durham NC.
What youll be doing:
- Performing antibody selections using phage and yeast display technologies.
- Validating antibody libraries and optimizing antibody affinity.
- Executing molecular biology techniques including PCR cloning and DNA assembly.
- Designing genes and primers; analyzing sequences for accuracy and optimization.
- Following and contributing to the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Maintaining accurate and detailed records using electronic lab notebooks.
- Collaborating with crossfunctional teams to streamline workflows and improve processes.
- Adapting to fastpaced project timelines and contributing to team goals.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelors degree in Biology Biochemistry Molecular Biology Chemical Engineering Immunology or related life science field with 3 years of relevant experience in biotech or pharma.
- Proficiency in molecular biology techniques such as PCR cloning and sequence analysis.
- Experience with gene and primer design.
- Other equivalent combination of education training and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
The knowledge skills and abilities needed for this role:
- Strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with electronic lab notebooks and willingness to learn new systems.
- Interest or experience in flow cytometry yeast display or lab automation is a plus.
