ARSIEM is looking for an ISSO/IA to support information assurance and security activities. This position will support one of our Government clients in Columbia MD.
Responsibilities
- Provides programmatic consultation in support of information systems and networks and the confidentiality integrity availability authenticity and nonrepudiation of the data being assembled processed transmitted and stored.
- Assesses privacy governance methodology conditions and implements a program that can be applied to discrete privacy tasks or managing privacy and sensitive data at the enterprise level.
- Capabilities reflect a strong foundation in Federal laws and regulations governing information security/privacy and information assurance and a working knowledge of the security standards and controls utilized by Federal civilian agencies the DoD and the Intelligence Community.
- Manages and directs the implementation testing and validation of physical technical and administrative security requirements and assists in the design of a strong security operations program and an effective business continuity plan.
- Evaluates programs against Privacy Act HIPAA/HITECH Federal and commercial regulations and guidance (e.g. NIST FISMA OMB).
- May monitor evaluate and maintain systems and procedures to protect data systems and databases from unauthorized users.
- Determines causes of security breaches and researches recommends and implements changes to procedures to protect data from future violations.
- Assists in educating users on security procedures.
- Maintains one or more of the following professional certifications: CISM CIPA CISSP.
Minimum Qualifications
- Careerlevel application of technical principles theories and concepts.
- Experience working under only general direction to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
- Experience working independently to determine and develop approaches to solutions.
- Bachelors (or equivalent) with 5 7 yrs of experience or a Masters and 3 to 5 yrs of experience.
$115000 $135000 a year
The ARSIEM pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) job responsibilities education experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as internal equity alignment with market data applicable bargaining agreement (if any) or other laws.

Clearance Requirement: This position requires an active Secret clearance. You must be a U.S. citizen for consideration.
Candidate Referral: Do you know someone who would be GREAT at this role If you do ARSIEM has a way for you to earn a bonus through our referral program for persons presenting NEW (not in our resume database) candidates who are successfully placed on one of our projects. The bonus for this position is $5000 and the referrer is eligible to receive the sum for any applicant we place within 12 months of referral. The bonus is paid after the referred employee reaches 6 months of employment.
