Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Responds to and consistently meets the needs of internal clients. Supports and cultivates new ideas and methods to deliver business solutions. Identifies ways to increase efficiencies or improve product or service. Delivers assignments/projects on time and completes all aspects before delivering to internal clients. Clearly communicates programs/services to necessary people seeks their support and keeps them informed of changes that may impact the business. Keeps track of existing products/services and/or progress on new initiatives. Prepares project plans that aid in moving project forward. Stays up to date with the latest developments in the profession. Develops skills to handle increasingly complex matters. Complies with and upholds company expectations including Mission Vision and Values policies procedures industry regulations department goals and business strategy. Politely gives consistent timely and accurate information and finds answer when unsure. Consistently demonstrates superior customer service skills and acts as a positive role model for all internal and external guests.Assists in daily monthly quarterly and yearend general accounting and internal and external reporting on a timely basis. Prepares monthend and miscellaneous journal entries. Adheres to the requirements of departments monthend closing schedule. Responsible for substantiation of assigned general ledger account balances through proper account analysis including the reconciliation of subsidiary information with central accounts on a monthly basis. Actively interfaces with appropriate internal and external departments agencies and companies. Prepares detailed spreadsheets on personal computer. Assists in the preparation of annual Casino Accounting Operating Plan. Records daily cash wire activity. Prepare and input journal entries and any required internal and external financial reports according to generally accepted accounting principles and NJDGE regulations. Responsible for daily interaction with regulatory agencies and auditors. Maintains a working knowledge of the Casino Control Act and companys Internal Controls. Maintains knowledge of and adheres to departmental policies and procedures. Works both independently and in coordination with the Casino Accounting Supervisor. Completes special assignments for management as requested. Participates in the supervision operation and/or support of Caesars multicasino Bad Beat system.EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:College degree in Accounting or related field preferred. 12 years accounting experience required.
