Responsibilities:
- Bachelors degree in healthcare administration business administration or a related field required. Masters degree preferred.
- Clinical background in nursing or allied health field is desirable.
- Minimum of 57 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare administration with a focus in oncology or service line management.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
- Excellent organizational and problemsolving abilities.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and quality improvement principles.
- Proficiency in computer applications and electronic health records systems.
Requirements:
Leadership and Management:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the medical and radiation oncology department.
- Supervise and mentor oncologists nurses technicians and support staff.
- Develop and implement departmental policies procedures and protocols to ensure efficient operations and compliance with regulatory standards.
Clinical Excellence and Quality Improvement:
- Oversee the clinical activities of medical and radiation oncologists including patient consultations treatment planning and followup care.
- Ensure adherence to evidencebased practice guidelines and quality standards in cancer care.
- Monitor patient outcomes and quality metrics and implement initiatives to improve clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
- Implement quality assurance programs and performance improvement initiatives to ensure the delivery of safe and effective oncology care.
- Conduct regular audits reviews and assessments to monitor compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
- Address any deficiencies or areas for improvement identified through quality assessments.
Operational Management:
- Oversee the daytoday operations of the oncology clinic including patient flow scheduling and resource allocation.
- Optimize clinic processes workflows and utilization of resources to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements accreditation standards and organizational policies.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Collaborate with other departments such as radiology pathology surgery and supportive care services to coordinate comprehensive cancer care for patients.
- Facilitate multidisciplinary tumor boards and case conferences to discuss complex cases and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Foster effective communication and teamwork among oncology staff and other healthcare professionals.
Financial Performance and Business Development:
- Develop and manage the medical and radiation oncology budget and productivity including revenue projections expense monitoring and cost containment strategies.
- Maximize revenue generation through effective utilization of resources billing practices and payer contracts.
- Identify opportunities for service line growth new revenue streams and market expansion.
Physician/Staff Engagement & Education:
- Recruit retain and engage a talented team of oncologists nurses therapists and support staff.
- Provide leadership mentorship and professional development opportunities for staff.
- Foster a culture of collaboration innovation and continuous improvement within the orthopedic service line.
- Provide ongoing education and training to oncology staff on new treatment modalities technologies and best practices in oncology care.
- Support professional development activities for oncologists nurses and support staff to enhance their clinical skills and knowledge.
Research and Innovation:
- Promote participation in clinical research trials and research initiatives to advance the field of oncology and improve treatment outcomes for patients.
- Stay updated on emerging trends technologies and advancements in oncology care and integrate innovative practices into clinical operations.
Patient Advocacy and Support:
- Advocate for the needs and preferences of cancer patients and their families ensuring access to supportive care services counseling and resources.
- Foster a culture of compassion empathy and patientcentered care within the oncology department.
Community Engagement and Partnership:
- Build and maintain relationships with referring physicians healthcare organizations and community stakeholders.
- Develop strategic partnerships and affiliations to enhance the oncology service lines reputation and market presence.
Compensation:
- $114400..00 annually depending on education and experience
