Position:Assistant Secondary Principal (Job Description)
Location:Pennsbury High School
Effective Date:7.1.25
JOB SUMMARY:
To assist the principal in improving academic achievement for students through leading directing supervising and implementing the secondary program within the building and maintaining an inclusive and effective learning climate in the building.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Belief that all students can learn and be successful.
- Ability to promote an environment that challenges and supports all students.
- Deep understanding of various state and national standards coupled with best instructional practices to provide a guaranteed and personalized learning experience.
- Ability to engage stakeholders in collaborative conversations for the betterment of the school and larger community.
- Ability to promote an environment that provides supportive accountability for all staff members.
- Clear concise and effective oral and written communication skills.
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors Degree Valid PA Teaching Certification required.
- Masters Degree Educational Leadership or Administration required.
- Valid PA Principal K12 Certification required.
- 57 years of successful secondary teaching experience; experience at the secondary level as an administrator; experience as a counselor psychologist social worker or school disciplinarian required.
