We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Inventory Assistant to join our Back of House team. As an Inventory Assistant you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel by managing deliveries and inventory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Efficient Receiving:Ensure proper controls are applied during the receiving process of all goods entering through the loading bay including food beverage linen and general guest supplies.
• Stock Movement:Support with the movement and placement of all stock around the building ensuring that all items are delivered internally to the relevant department.
• Inventory Management:Ensure proper controls are applied to the receipt and issue of all stock items maintaining standards and consistency in food storage and delivery.
• Quality Assurance:Ensure all goods received are of the required quality and quantity and contact suppliers immediately if there are discrepancies.
• Organised Storage:Maintain all cellar kitchen fridges and storerooms in compliance with Health & Safety and Food Hygiene Regulations ensuring all areas are secured organised clean tidy and locked when unattended.
• Support Operations:Assist with ordering food items as directed by the Executive Chef and communicate with suppliers regarding orders deliveries and substitute products.
• Administrative Tasks:File invoices on the finance systems according to procedure and assist with hotel procurement and purchasing procedures.
• Health & Safety:Adhere to health safety and food standards reporting any issues as they occur.

Who You Are:

• Experience:Previous work experience in a kitchen or food & beverage operation is essential.
• Skills:Good organisation and time management skills along with good verbal and written communication.
• Attributes:A flexible attitude ability to follow specific instructions and good manual handling practices. Basic food hygiene knowledge and experience in multioutlet operations are desirable.
• Team Player:Selfreliant selfconfident and able to work alone and outside normal office hours. A team player who can also work independently.
