Job Description

Job Title:Senior Naval Architect
Onsite/ Remote/ Hybrid:On Site
Location: Hamilton ON
Job Type:Full Time

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Naval Architect to join their team in Hamilton ON. This position is a key role in leading and managing various aspects of marine engineering projects from conceptual design to construction and delivery. The successful candidate will utilize their expertise in naval architecture to develop solutions while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and client requirements.

Responsibilities :
  • Lead and manage the engineering team providing technical guidance and mentorship to Junior Naval Architects within the team
  • Develop scopes definitions for projects.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively and be collaborative with the team and projectstakeholders.
  • Ability to review and perform detailed calculations simulations and engineering analyses to assess and validate design concepts and specifications.
  • Conduct feasibility studies conceptual design and preliminary analysis to evaluate design options to propose optimal solutions.
  • Utilize advance software tools and simulation techniques to model analyze and optimize vessel performance stability and structural integrity.
  • Be able to liaise with clients flag state regulators classification societies and shipyards to ensure compliance with industry standards regulations and project specifications
  • Participate in design reviews technical meetings and project presentations.

  • Be continually looking to improve their knowledge and sharpen their skills.

Requirements :
  • Bachelor of Engineering in Naval Architecture
  • Masters of Engineering in Naval Architecture
  • 58 years experience
  • Professional Engineer ()
  • Experience using AutoCAD Rhino Autodesk PDM Collection GHS and Maxsurf
  • Experience using Microsoft Suite
