EVANGEL UNIVERSITY ATHLETICS DEPARTMENT
FULL TIME ASSISTANT WOMENS BASKETBALL COACH

JOB SUMMARY:
The assistant coach will work within the framework of the Evangel University mission statement and the goals of the Evangel Athletic Department to:
- Influence the Christian growth of all studentathletes
- Influence all studentathletes to graduate with a professional degree
- Develop the athletic skills of each studentathlete in season and out of season
- Assist the Head Coach in developing comprehensive and strategic practice and game/competition plans
- Recruit high level studentathletes who will pursue the universitys mission
- Evaluate upcoming opponents and prepare scouting reports
- Execute other athletics programs related tasks as assigned by the Head Coach and Director of Athletics
QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent educational degree preferred
- A working knowledge of the guidelines and policies governing the sport within the NAIA
- Possess the qualities that reflect the standards of conduct and lifestyle of the Assemblies of God fellowship
- Experience recruiting highly talented intercollegiate studentathletes
- Experience coaching at the collegiate level preferred
- Ability to coach teach and motivate studentathletes in a Christiancollegiate environment
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment
- Strong communication skills
