Automation Analyst (Anchorage)

What You Will Do:

As an Automation Analyst you will play an essential role within our IT reporting to Manager OT Communications. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Support the configuration and maintaining the software and hardware infrastructure to maintain flow computers and remote terminal units (RTUs).
• Maintaining programming and updating flow computers programmable logic computers (PLC) and remote terminal units (RTUs).
• Support Measurement and OT departments with control panel builds and test lab work.
• Assist with device troubleshooting in the field and test lab.
• Create interface maps including protocol and register locations for data in Flow Computers and RTUs to be configured in SCADA system.
• Install test calibrate program and maintain electronic measurement and control devices.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

What You Will Bring:

Required Qualifications

• Twoyear degree in Electronics Electronic Instrumentation or related field required.
• Minimum of two years progressively responsible work experience including substantial experience in Industrial Control and/or SCADA systems and related protocols (OPC Modbus ControlNet DeviceNet HART etc).
• Proficient in programming and use of the following automation systems:
• Flow Computers (Emerson ROC Omni Flowboss)
• Allen Bradley ControlLogix Siemens S7 GE RX3i
• Proficient with IEC 61131 Industrial Automation languages
• Ladder Diagram
• Function Block Diagram
• Structured Text
• Instruction List
• Sequential Function Chart
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to use/learn other technologies.
• Must possess a valid Alaska Drivers License and be qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of the ENSTARs Driving Policy.
• Ability to pass a background past employment credit drug and driving record screening.

Preferred skills and qualifications:

• Excellent analytical project management and organizational skills with the ability to evaluate data.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to effectively work with contractors consultants governmental agencies and other departments/personnel to accomplish ENSTARs objectives.
• Ability to manage and support multiple projects.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to make independent decisions based on available information.
• Selfmotivated with a strong work ethic and is open to take on a variety of operational challenges.
