Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide lowlatency highspeed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
In this role you will design craft and deploy reliable embedded software for large quantity of Kuiper terrestrial products. Kuiper is breaking new ground with every device we design and you will be an integral part of bringing this family of products to deployments.

Key job responsibilities Develop embedded software for terrestrial devices within the Project Kuiper system. Participate in all phases of SDLC including requirements gathering design code test and code/test coverage. Collaborate with engineers across the org to gather requirements design develop deploy and operate across solution pipelines. Participate in initiatives building and scaling the ground gateway products and help implement best practices for software development. Develop code build CI/CD pipelines test automation and dashboards for monitoring health of systems and data pipelines. Engineer and build solutions which are required for managing the ground gateway stations. Develope embedded software in assembly C C Rust or other languages on Linux or RTOS
A day in the life An SDE in Kuiper Ground Gateway Services is responsible for designing developing testing deploying and operating services that enable ground systems worldwide. We write code debug and create the worlds most innovative products. We work in collaboration with other teams for designing and delivering scalable low latency and high throughput solutions.
3 years of noninternship professional software development experience 2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience Experience programming with at least one software programming language
3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent Experience with Embedded Linux RTOS or bare metal firmware Familiarity with hardware digital communication systems single and multicarrier techniques modulation or programmable logic Strong programming skills in C/C/Rust
